Where this decoder came from ============================ libheif.js and libheif.wasm in this folder are byte-for-byte the files libheif-wasm/libheif.js and libheif-wasm/libheif.wasm from: npm package : libheif-js 1.23.2 tarball : https://registry.npmjs.org/libheif-js/-/libheif-js-1.23.2.tgz shasum : 185691289ccfefe813e4b7f84ac4f84f24abb064 source repo : https://github.com/catdad-experiments/libheif-js commit : 6ca00b818c0ff51cb2a5c75b9ce97d708083335a That package does not compile libheif itself. It downloads a prebuilt Emscripten binary, and its scripts/install.js at the commit above pins: https://github.com/catdad-experiments/libheif-emscripten/releases/download/v1.23.2/libheif.tar.gz which is the exact build of libheif, and of the libde265 decoder inside it, that this site serves. Licence: LGPL-3.0 (see LICENSE and COPYING). Checked on 2026-10-02 by comparing the SHA-256 of both files against the installed package.
