HEIC to PNG, every pixel kept

PNG is lossless, so the decoded photo is saved exactly as your browser sees it. For photographs the files are usually much larger than JPEG. Choose PNG when you need to edit the image further or keep a screenshot crisp.

· HEIC, HEIF, or a whole folder

Live Photos and bursts convert to a single still. Nothing is uploaded.

When PNG is the right choice

    • You are going to edit the image again and want no generation loss.
    • The image is a screenshot, a diagram or text, where JPEG artefacts show.
    • A form or app specifically asks for PNG.

    When it isn't

For normal photos you will send or post, JPEG at quality 90 usually looks the same and is much smaller. Convert to JPG instead.

Note: this converter does not write metadata into PNG output, so the date, camera and location are dropped. The PNG format itself can carry EXIF, but nothing here puts it there. Choose JPEG and tick "Keep photo details" if you need the metadata preserved.
